9 Aug 2009- A bomb dropped on National Day

We sent our maid back this afternoon, within 24 hours of her request to go home. It was a typical afternoon at home then she wanted to make a call. She claimed her mother hurt her hand and no one to take care of her kids. I am just surprised if her mum hurt her hand and wants her to go back, wouldn't they write to her instead? Why is it only when she called back then she knew of it? On the other hand, she told my mum that her mother hurt her back and also said she is going shopping in Jarkarta before she goes back to the kampong. Would you be in the mood to go shopping when you are anxious to go back home to look after your kids? Then the agency said it is common of Indo maids to have such requests when it's nearing the Hari Raya festival so it means she is not interested to work anymore.

Who is right and who is wrong? Anyway, she's gone.
